Conquian Glossary
The following are a few of the colorful words and phrases used in playing Conquian / Cooncan:
- Fours
- Four cards of the same denomination.
- Go Cooncan
- To meld eleven cards (i.e. to win the game).
- Hit
- Lay off a card on a meld.
- Hole
- A hand you can't go Cooncan with.
- Long Spread
- A meld of three or more cards in sequence and suit.
- Pone
- The dealer's opponent.
- Pluck
- To take the top card off the deck.
- Short Spread
- A meld of three or more cards of the same rank.
- Sleep
- To overlook (miss) a play.
- Switch
- To take a card from one meld in order to form another.
- Tab Game
- A draw.
- Triplet
- Three cards of the same denomination.
