Conquian Glossary

The following are a few of the colorful words and phrases used in playing Conquian / Cooncan:

Fours
Four cards of the same denomination.
Go Cooncan
To meld eleven cards (i.e. to win the game).
Hit
Lay off a card on a meld.
Hole
A hand you can't go Cooncan with.
Long Spread
A meld of three or more cards in sequence and suit.
Pone
The dealer's opponent.
Pluck
To take the top card off the deck.
Short Spread
A meld of three or more cards of the same rank.
Sleep
To overlook (miss) a play.
Switch
To take a card from one meld in order to form another.
Tab Game
A draw.
Triplet
Three cards of the same denomination.
